Bougainvillea 'Araroma'


 

Fragrant and thornless. This is the ultimate screening bouganvillea. Extremely dense growth makes it a great screening plant. Has a sweet scent like a jasmine.This variety is a quick grower and will reach at maturity 7 - 10m in height. Can easily keep it trimmed smaller. Also known a the tree bouganvilles it can be trained to be a standard.

Uses

Fantastic as a screener as it is thornless. Can be kept as a 1m hedge. The aroma is wonderful at night.

Preferred Position & Soil

Loves the sun but will take moist soil. If too wet may send out water shoots that need to be cut off as this will have thorns. When flowering has finished make sure that the plant gets a good feed of not only greening ingredients but for flowering as well.
