Agave attenuata
Century Plant
This plant is related to the succulent family. The Agave attenuata has a tall thick stem which which bears flowers which only appear when the plant is around 10yrs old. Requires little attention and are easy to grow. They are fantastic drought plants. Grows 1.5m x 1.5m. They do have a stem, and most people think they stay near the ground, this is incorrect. Even in pots they will grow a stem. Head gets at least 1m across.
Uses
Fantastic plant to put in glazed pots. Great for balconies, patios, courtyards etc.
Preferred Position & Soil
Full sun, needs little to no water to survive. Will grow in soil, pebbles, pots etc.
